Italy won all six titles available at the European Beach Tennis Championships in the seaside resort of Sozopol in Bulgaria.

The tournament's rules permit a maximum of two pairs from each country to enter but that did not stop all-Italian finals from taking place in both the men’s and women’s doubles, with the second-seeded teams triumphing in both cases.

Luca Cramarossa and Marco Garavini overcame defending champion Michele Cappelletti and partner Luca Carli in the men’s final, easing to a 6-1, 7-5 victory over the favourites.

In the women’s doubles it was Sofia Cimatti and Flamina Daina who emerged victorious, recording a comfortable 6-3, 6-2 win against the world’s top ranked pair, Eva D’Elia and Giulia Gasparri.

The only non-Italian pair to reach a final were Russia’s Irina Glimakova and Ivan Syrov, who recorded a superb win over D’Elia and Cramarossa in the semi-finals of the mixed doubles before falling 6-4, 7-6 to Cimatti and Cappelletti in the final.

The junior events also took place and Italy’s boys and girls showed that the country's domination does not appear set to end anytime soon.

All three events ended with Italian champions.

Guiseppe Attolino and Andrea Banci won the boys’ doubles title,

Greta Giusti and Veronica Casadei claimed the girls’ doubles trophy.

Banci also teamed with Ninny Valentini to win the junior mixed doubles event.
