Paralympians Long and Crates receive Honorary Doctorates from UEL

GilesLongandDannyCratesDecember 7 - Retired Paralympians Giles Long and Danny Crates, who both played major roles in Channel 4's coverage of the London 2012 Paralympics, have each been awarded Honorary Doctorates of Science from the University of London's (UEL) School of Health, Sport and Bioscience at the North Greenwich Arena.

Dutch stars top IPC Athlete of the Month shortlist

Bibian MentelDecember 3 - Bibian Mentel, the Dutch snowboarder who has won the first IPC-sanctioned event in the sport since it was accepted onto the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games programme on her home course in Landgraaf, joins compatriot wheelchair tennis player Jiske Griffioen on the International Paralympic Committee's (IPC) shortlist for the Athlete of the Month title.
