Government increase security costs for London 2012 by £271 million

Hugh Robertson_in_front_of_children_art_December_5_2011December 5 - The Government have dramatically increased their security budget for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics from £282 million ($441 million/€328 million) to a huge £553 million ($866 million/€643 million), an increase of £271 million ($424 million/€315 million).


Hollingsworth hits back at results of Scope's Paralympic Games survey

Tim HollingsworthDecember 4 - Tim Hollingsworth, chief executive of the British Paralympic Association (BPA), has hit back at the results of a survey conducted by disability charity Scope, which claims that less than a quarter of disabled people and just 11 per cent of Britons overall are excited about the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
