Brazilian mixed doubles scullers hold off Israel by a second at World Rowing Championships

Rowing on day three of the World Championships on Amsterdam's Bosbaan Lake had to be suspended when wind conditions changed ©Getty ImagesIn a thrilling finish to the TA mixed double sculls repechage on the third day of racing at the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, the Brazilian Para-rowing pairing of Josiane Lima and Michel Gomes Pessanha finished just a second ahead of Israel's Reuven Magnagey and Yuliya Cnernoy in a time of 4min 49.27sec, with both qualifying for the A final.
