The Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Sochi 2014 Paralympics are due to take place at the Fisht Olympic StadiumOctober 4 - Tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Sochi 2014 Paralympics went on sale today.


They range from as little as 700 rubles (£14/$22/€16) to as much as 5,000 rubles (£97/$155/€115) for the Opening Ceremony and 400 rubles (£8/$12/€9) and 2,000 rubles (£39/$62/€46).

The Ceremonies are due to take place on March 7 and 16 March respectively.

Both events will be held at the 40,000 capacity Fisht Olympic Stadium, the same venue as the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Tickets had last month gone on sale for the Paralympic events. 

Tickets can be bought by Russian citizens and foreign nationals living in Russia on the official website and authorised ticket resellers.

Residents of other countries can purchase tickets for the Paralympic Games through authorised ticket resellers in their countries including eVentureZone, authorised ticket reseller of the International Paralympic Committee, and through the official website.
