Seven sports will be contested at the IWAS World Junior Games from August 2 to 8 ©IWAS Para-triathlon has been pulled from the programme for the International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports (IWAS) World Junior Games 2014 because of a lack of entries.

It was to be one of eight sports contested at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Great Britain.

The birthplace of IWAS and the Paralympic Movement will stage the Games from August 2 to 8.

Archery, athletics, wheelchair fencing, powerlifting, shooting, swimming and table tennis will all be contested.

Para-taekwondo will also appear at the week-long Games as a demonstration event.

IWAS said it "regrets" Para-triathlon's absence from the programme of sports, and "hopes the sport will return in future Games".

It made its debut at least year's edition in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile, the deadline for entries is fast-approaching, with submissions needed by June 25.
