The National Olympic Committee of Rwanda has signed a kit deal with ErreàOctober 10 - Rwandan athletes will wear Erreà sportswear at the Glasgow 2014 and Rio 2016 Olympics after the nation signed a three-year kit deal with the Italian manufacturer.

National Olympic Committee of Rwanda President Robert Bayigamba said the agreement, which was also signed by the Government's Ministry of Sports and Culture, means Erreà Sports Manufacturer will dress all of the country's teams.

"We have signed a three-year contract with Erreà to supply all the national teams with sportswear for international competitions," Bayigamba, the nation's former Sports Minister, said.

"It is a reputable company and we have seen what they have done for other teams, so we hope to have even better kits for future international competitions.

"The orders are expected to be made in high qualities and huge quantities.

"We have not signed a fixed contract, but rather it will depend on the competition as we have many national teams and on each consignment they will reduce for us by 40 per cent.

"Anytime we need the national team kit, we will just place our order because the deal has already started."

Bayigamba added that the National Olympic Committee will be sending templates of the kits to Erreà and he encouraged national sports federations to design their own sportswear.

Rwanda competed in its first Commonwealth Games at Delhi 2010 and has taken part in seven Summer Olympics, although the nation has yet to win a medal at either event.
