Severine HubertDecember 15 -Séverine Hubert has been promoted to managing director of JTA, one of the communications industry's leading independent sports specialists, it has been announced.

Hubert's promotion follows a busy year for JTA, particularly in Russia, where the 2018 World Cup and 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympics Games will be held.

JTA worked with Sochi on their successful bid to host the Winter Olympics, and have also been heavily involved in designing and running the Russian International Olympic University, as well as working with Generations for Peace on their peace camp in Sochi earlier this year.

Closer to home, JTA were also involved in London's ultimately successful bid to host the 2017 World Athletics Championships and also work for Premier League champions Manchester United.

They also worked on Munich's unscuccesful bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

JTA founder and chief executive Jon Tibbs announced the promotion following a year in which the company is set to record a 45 per cent increase in revenues and profits.

Hubert, whose parents are Scottish but was raised in France, is one of the most popular and well connected figures on the Olympic circuit.

"Sevi's promotion is richly deserved – she has helped to spearhead JTA's impressive evolution over the last five years, whilst still maintaining a hands-on approach for our clients," said Tibbs.

"Sevi played a key role in London's victorious bid to host the 2017 IAAF World Championships last month and she has also helped to lead our expansion in Russia.

"This year we have added three new high-profile Russian clients to our long-standing relationship with the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee: Bosco, the exciting fashion and lifestyle label; the Russian Olympic Committee; and the Russian International Olympic University."

Edinburgh University graduate Hubert added: "This is a great honour and very exciting.

"JTA has gone from strength to strength in the last few years and it has been a fascinating journey.

"We work with some of the most prestigious organisations in the world of sport and I look forward to playing a big part in JTA's continued development and progress."
