Corby_FisherJanuary 15 - Former United States Olympic head coach Corby Fisher (pictured) has joined tour package and hospitality specialist Ludus Tours as their new director of sales and marketing.

Fisher, who will be based in the firm's San Diego office, competed for the US ski jumping team throughout Europe and Japan.

As a coach, he made history by winning the first World Championship in American Nordic sports and becoming the youngest head coach in American Olympic history when he led the team in Turin for the 2006 Olympic Games.

"I feel great about joining the Ludus team," said Fisher.

"They have built a very successful model for something I feel passionate about - providing unforgettable and amazing experiences at the world's top events.

"With the combination of the Ludus team, their founding principles and what I can bring to the table, I saw a perfect fit.

"I'm confident that success will continue as we grow into consulting and beyond.

"I see an amazing opportunity to share my lifetime of experience and passion in these premiere events with all of our guests."

Ludus managing director Adam Dailey said Fisher's experiences in sports marketing bring a needed level of expertise to the organisation.

"Corby knows events and knows sales at every level of sports," said Dailey.

"Not only does he bring a wealth of knowledge, but he's also a really great person – he fits our corporate culture and that's always an important thing for us."
