The Jiu-Jitsu Asian Youth Championship kicked off with great fervour at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City, setting the stage for intense competitions among young athletes. As day one wrapped up, the UAE amassed nine medals. 

Thailand successfully defended its crown at the eighth Jiu-Jitsu Asian Championship, held at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi, accumulating an impressive total of 11 gold medals. As the adult division competitions concluded on Sunday, the UAE continued their dominance in the Jiu-Jitsu discipline and secured the title for the fourth consecutive year.

In the latest move to consolidate the UAE's and Abu Dhabi's leadership on the continental and global jiu-jitsu map, Abu Dhabi will host the eighth edition of the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championships at the Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City from 1-8 May, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has announced.

Bangkok has been announced as the host of the 2023 Asian Ju-Jitsu Championships.
