AUGUST 18 - SPORTS have been told to follow the example set by cycling, rowing and sailing to ensure that they are as successful when London stages the Olympics in 2012.

AUGUST 18 - CYCLING, Britain's most successful sport in Beijing, is not under threat of being thrown out of the 2012 London Olympics because of its poor record on drugs, the head of the international governing said today.

August 24 - Taekwondo said today it plans to adopt an electronic protector system and video replays following the controversy yesterday at the Beijing Olympics involving Britain's Sarah Stevenson. 

AUGUST 22 - BRITAIN maintained its remarkably consistent record in the Modern Pentathlon since the event was added to the Olympic programme for women when Heather Fell (pictured) won a silver medal.

SEPTEMBER 4 - UK ATHLETICS has hit back in the row with Olympic runner Kate Reed (pictured) that is becoming increasingly bitter.
