Mullings misses the World Championships as he waits for B sample result

Steve_Mullings_17-08-11August 17 – Steve Mullings, who has been left out of the Jamaican team for this month's IAAF World Championships after it emerged a sample he gave at the National Championships in late June contained a banned diuretic, is maintaining his innocence while awaiting the result of the analysis of his B sample.

Frank_Warren_15-08-11August 17 - Claims made by top British boxing promoter Frank Warren that the Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) it is against the plans of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) to move the sport towards professionalism after London 2012 have been denied by the governing body but they have revealed that it has set up a new Commission to look at the proposal.

Oscar_Pistorius_Hungary_June_30_2011August 14 - The Court of Arbitration for Sport's (CAS) decision to allow South Africa's multiple Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius to compete against able-bodied athletes was "a complete farce", according to a fellow South African sports scientist, Dr Ross Tucker, who compares the technological advances involved in making Pistorius's prosthetic blade "legs" to those in Formula One.
