THE International Olympic Committee (IOC) have accepted that the number of bronze medals to be awarded in taekwondo at the Olympic Games will be increased to two starting with next year’s Olympic Games in Beijing and including London 2012.

August 29 - Sarah Stevenson (pictured) won a gold medal on the opening day of the British Championships, an European Taekwondo Union (ETU) A-Class event, at the Manchester Regional Arena today.

THE BTCB Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd, the high performance business arm of the sport in Britain, today announced the appointment of three high performance coaching staff to work with their elite academy athletes to help them prepare for London 2012.

BRITISH TAEKWONDO is to move its operations from Loughborough to Manchester’s Sportcity (pictured) to help it prepare for the 2012 Olympics, it was announced today. 

August 24 - Taekwondo said today it plans to adopt an electronic protector system and video replays following the controversy yesterday at the Beijing Olympics involving Britain's Sarah Stevenson.
