Geraint Thomas_01-11-11November 2 - Geraint Thomas has announced that he will be represented by three60 Sports Management as he prepares to win a second Olympic gold medal at the London 2012 Games.

Thomas, who was one of the victorious British team pursuit riders at the 2008 Beijing Games, has since established himself as one of the best young road racers in the world, but although he will continue to ride on the road for Team Sky next year his major focus will be on the track.

three60 has extensive experience representing athletes in the build-up to, during and post Olympics and will be working on developing Thomas' commercial opportunities ahead of London 2012.

Thomas commented, "I am very pleased to announce that three60 Sports Management are my new commercial agents.

"2011 has been another good year on the road for me but now I'm looking forward to 2012 when I will focus on the track to prepare for the London Olympics.

"It's great to do that with the full support of three60 who will be looking to secure new commercial opportunities for me during this time, and, along with continuing to work with Seren PR, I think it will be a great combination."

Two months ago, Thomas was a key member of the team at the World Road Racing Championships, which offered Mark Cavendish the opportunity to claim the sprint gold medal.

Earlier in the year Thomas claimed his first major stage victory at the Bayern Rundfahrt and he then finished as Britain's top rider in the Tour de France, finishing thirty first.

Thomas became the youngest rider and the first Welsh rider to ride the Tour in since 1967 when he took part in 2007 as a professional with the South African sponsored Barloworld team.

After winning Olympic gold in 2008, Thomas signed for the newly established British pro team, Team Sky, and in an impressive breakthrough year he had a spell in the top ten of the Tour de France and in the white jersey for Best Young Rider.

He also won the British National Championships Road Race.
