TD_AmeritradeFebruary 20 - Online trading company TD Ameritrade have signed a unique sponsorship deal with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) that also involves advertising on NBC during London 2012.

They will be the first-ever USOC partner in the online broker category and pairs the use of the Olympic rings with a prearranged deal for commercial time during London 2012 broadcasts on NBC.

"We make a promise each day to our clients and associates, to relentlessly strive to exceed their expectations," said Fred Tomczyk, the President and chief executive of TD Ameritrade.

"We believe this sponsorship - with an organisation whose values so closely mirror our own - is an extension of that promise.

"We look forward to celebrating and sharing this pride of sponsorship with all of our clients, associates and shareholders."

Normally, companies that sign with the USOC negotiate separately with NBC for Olympic advertising.

"TD Ameritrade believes in supporting America's athletes, and in the power and inspiration of their journeys," said USOC chief exeuctive Scott Blackmun.

"It is a company that upholds the Olympic ideals in its own industry, and we are happy to have them on board.

"This agreement ushers in a new era of partnership and cooperation between the USOC and NBC.

"Working together, we can bring the U.S. Olympic Movement to new audiences and to new heights."

TD Ameritrade's vision to be the better investment firm for today's investor parallels the USOC's mission to support athletes in achieving sustained competitive excellence, to build a better world through sport, and to inspire all Americans, they claimed.

"We are excited and proud to sponsor the US Olympic Committee and Team USA, and to honour the spirit of continuously striving to be better," said Tomczyk.
