Epic Medals will thus be the exclusive medal partner for the next three UniSport Nationals, starting from this year’s edition due to start at various locations on the Gold Coast later this month.

Commenting on the prospect of extending the link with the UniSport Nationals, Epic Medals director Sally Jarvis said: "It’s an exceptional event and we are proud to work with the UniSport team to design and produce a medal reflective of the participants achievements.

"We will be cheering on every athlete, team, and university!"

The Epic Medals design for 2023 makes the kangaroo the key emblem linking UniSport to its Australian history.

UniSport Australia chief executive Mark Sinderberry expressed pride in the continuing relationship with the company based on the Gold Coast.

"Our partnership with Epic Medals has been growing over the past few years, and I am pleased that this will continue into the future," he said.  

UniSport Nationals are scheduled to take place from 23-September 2023 at various locations on the Gold Coast and is expected to involve more than 6,000 competitors in 31 sports and more than 50 competitions.

Epic Medals is a small group of designers and sports lovers who worked together on the Gold 2018 medal ceremonies.

UniSport Australia has 42 member universities representing a population of over one million students.
