Felix Denayer gave Belgium the lead just two minutes in, before Jonas De Geus levelled the match in the 34th minute.

The Dutch struck the front four minutes later following a goal from Thierry Brinkman, but their advantage was short-lived as Nicolas De Kerpel equalised for Belgium two minutes later.

The winner came with three minutes remaining courtesy of a field goal from Duco Telgenkamp.

In the second semi-final between Germany and England there were no goals during regulation play with the match going all the way to penalty strokes.
