Television channel Nine has announced a new partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) which will see the network support the country's athletes on their journey towards Brisbane 2032.

The three-year deal with Nine as an official partner of the Australian Olympic team will give the network special access to athletes and cover Paris 2024, Milan Cortina 2026 and the Youth Olympics in both 2024 and 2026.

Nine's partnership with the AOC comes after signing a 10-year AUD$300 million (£158 million/$201 million/€183 million) deal with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in February.

"Nine is proud to become an official partner of the Australian Olympic Team, playing a part to promote the Olympic Movement,” Nine chief executive Mike Sneesby said.

"We look forward to working with the AOC over the coming years to help support our athletes as they strive for Olympic glory.

"On any given day, countless Australian children are playing sport dreaming of one day competing on the world's ultimate stage.

"With Brisbane 2032 less than a decade away, our commitment to the Olympic Movement is to shine a light on those dreams, share athletes' stories and help grow the Olympic spirit."

The AOC is looking forward to working with the broadcaster, Australia's second-rated television network, on the journey towards Brisbane 2032.

"The deal encompasses Nine's television and radio networks across Australia as well as video on demand and streaming services," AOC chief executive Matt Carroll said.

"Nine will be broadcasting the Paris Games after signing a broadcast deal with the International Olympic Committee.

"We are delighted to have Nine on board as a sponsor and we welcome their commitment to the AOC and our Australian Olympic team.

“The AOC looks forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with Nine's broadcast deal with the IOC taking them through to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games."

Last month, Nine signed what they describe as a "landmark" media deal with Paralympics Australia which should ensure greater coverage for the team than ever before at Paris 2024.
