Taekwondo was among six sports that featured at a festival organised by the National Paralympic and Sports Committee of Guinea (CNPSG).

The event was held at Matam High School in Guinean capital Conakry with the aim of promoting sports for people with disabilities.

Athletics, football, wheelchair basketball, archery and table tennis were the other Para sports that were on show at the festival.

A demonstration of Para taekwondo was staged at the event to help attract new athletes as the sport continues to grow in the West African nation.

The CNPSG said it was hoping to find young fights to represent the country at this year’s African Para Taekwondo Open Championships.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in Kenyan capital Nairobi on October 25.
