Germany's Martin Nörl secured victory in the men's snowboard cross, while Britain's Charlotte Bankes continued her dominance in the women's event at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup in Veysonnaz, Switzerland.

Bankes continued her impressive run, winning her fifth World Cup event in a row.

Eva Adamczyková of the Czech Republic, who won the event at the Bakuriani 2023 World Championships, took second place.

In third was the winner of the first event of the season, Josie Baff of Australia, as she outperformed Chloé Trespeuch of France.

Bankes edges closer to becoming the snowboard cross Crystal Globe winner as she is first in the leader board with 578 points, while Trespeuch maintains second position with 510 and Baff is on third with 353.

Nörl won his second event of the season as he climbed to first place in the big final.

Álvaro Romero of Spain finished in the top three for the first time this season after securing a silver medal.

Italy's Lorenzo Sommariva claimed his second third place of the season, edging past Canada's Eliot Grondin to reach the podium.

Nörl maintains his place at the top of the snowboard cross leader board with 374 points, with two events to go in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada.

Italian Omar Visintin is second with 335 points while Lucas Eguibar of Spain occupies third spot with 326 points.

The final two snowboard cross World  Cups will be taking place on March 25 and 26.
