Consecutive events in Australia are set to mark the start of the International Cycling Union (UCI) Mountain Bike World Cup calendar.

Both enduro competitions are scheduled to take place in Tasmania with the opener running from March 25 to 26 in Maydena before the April 1 to 2 leg in Derby.

The highlight of the calendar is due to occur from September 7 to 17 in Haute-Savoie as all of the major mountain bike formats are set to be contested at the same event for the first time in the history of the World Cup.

"We still have the incredible images and atmosphere of the 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Les Gets fresh in our minds, and so look forward to returning to Haute-Savoie next year for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup," said UCI President David Lappartient.

"This region has hosted the discipline's UCI World Cup on several occasions, as well as two editions of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, which demonstrates its strong commitment to our sport.

"With the round in Les Gets, which will bring together all the major mountain bike formats, we will once again benefit from the fantastic organisation and enthusiastic welcome that characterise the Haute-Savoie region, that will also host the second edition of the UCI Cycling World Championships in 2027."

The cross-country Olympic, cross-country short track and downhill competitions are scheduled for Les Gets, while the cross-country marathon, enduro and e-enduro events are set to be held in Châtel and Morzine.

"We thank once again the UCI and Warner Bros. Discovery for their confidence," said President of the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council, Martial Saddier.

"Congratulations to the Portes du Soleil - Les Gets, Morzine and Châtel - for establishing themselves as the reference for mountain biking.

"We'll meet in Haute-Savoie!"

The cross-country marathon and e-enduro disciplines appear on the calendar for the first time.

The former is programmed to feature in Nové Mĕsto Na Moravĕ in Czech Republic from May 12 to 14.

E-enduro will then join cross-country marathon in Finale Ligure in Italy from June 3 to 4 in its debut.
