AESF and ZDG will also promote and develop Beijing’s digital sports industry as part of the deal.

The deal will help Zhongguancun in building a science and technology park and Beijing to develop an international science and technology innovation centre, apart from increasing cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong.

AESF is the governing body for esports in Asia and will play a major role as the sport makes its debut at the postponed Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games.

The event is scheduled to take place from September 23 to October 8 2023.
