Hosts Sweden ensured they made the final of the Women's Bandy World Championship for the 11th time in a row, maintaining their 100 per cent streak in the semi-finals with a 7-0 victory over the United States in Åby.

Emma Ahlander got the scoring underway after less than two minutes, with Ida Friman adding another after the seventh.

Tilda Ström scored four goals to put any doubt of the result to bed, with two either side of the interval.

Mathilda Eklund added a seventh in the dying seconds of the match.

In the evening tie, Norway defeated Finland in extra-time 3-2 to make it through to their first final.

Laura Andresen Follesø gave the Norwegians the lead within two minutes, but Joanna Nykänen equalised with 13 minutes on the clock.

Captain Charlotte Marie Selbekk put Norway back in front before Hanna Snäll made it 2-2 before half-time.

A scoreless second-half took the tie to extra-time, with the deadlock being broken by the captain Selbekk again after two minutes, securing their spot in the final.

Between them, Norway and Finland had won all 10 bronze medals at the Women's World Championship.

Britain thrashed Switzerland 9-0 to make it through to the final for fifth place, continuing their impressive form on their debut.

Saga Hartley was the star, scoring a hat-trick; while Ila Hobbins and Miranda Bache scored two goals each.

Aisling Rafter scored the opener and Matilda Revell got on the scoresheet too.

In the round-robin stage, Britain had defeated the Swiss squad 8-0.

Joining them in that final is The Netherlands, who put in a good second-half to break the tie with Estonia.

Hanne Gezelius and Iris Helsen scored to put the Dutch in front on two occasions, pegged back both times by Amanda Andreasson, who has scored all nine of Estonia's goals in the competition so far.

However, second-half goals from Glynis Barton, Veerle van Wijchen and Leanne van der Wielen made it 5-2 to The Netherlands.

Medal matches are set to take place tomorrow, concluding the tournament.
