Fencing's first senior World Cup competitions of 2022 are set to take place in three different countries this weekend, with Tokyo 2020 gold medalists among those in action.

Poznań in Poland is due to hold women's foil competition, while French capital Paris is the backdrop for the men's foil event.

Tbilisi in Georgia is hosting a women's sabre World Cup.

The two-day foil events are due to be begin tomorrow, while the competition in Tbilisi also starts tomorrow but is scheduled to take three days to complete.

Olympic champion Cheung Ka-long of Hong Kong, runner-up Daniele Garozzo from Italy and the Czech bronze medallist Alexander Choupenitch are all on the entry list in Paris.

Women's Olympic foil champion Lee Kiefer headlines the field in Poznań, with the American joined by former world champion Alice Volpi of Italy.

France's double Tokyo 2020 medallist Manon Brunet is among the leading athletes due to compete in Tbilisi.
