The leadership of the International University Sport Federation (FISU) and Polish Olympic Committee (PKOI) have met at FISU's headquarters in Lausanne.

Acting FISU President Leonz Eder described it as "a pleasure" to lead PKOI President Andrzej Kraśnicki on a tour of the headquarters in Switzerland.

"It is these kinds of visits which help strengthen good relationships and improve communication between our federations, especially during a period which has become difficult for international sports events," Eder said.

A familiar face, FISU vice-president Marian Dymalski, was among the delegation which met Kraśnicki.

In addition to his FISU role, Dymalski is a member of the PKOI Presidium and a Polish University Sport Federation vice-president.

Dymalski offered an overview of the university sport scene in Poland and how the PKOI's activities can overlap with those of the Polish University Sport Federation.

The Polish University Sport Federation is a PKOI member.

FISU secretary general and chief executive Eric Saintrond also met Kraśnicki, whose visit to the headquarters followed a meeting with International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach.

Kraśnicki has led the PKOI since 2010 and was last re-elected in 2017.
