Miguel Carballeda has been unanimously re-elected as President of the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE).

Carballeda is to serve his fifth four-year term as CPE President after receiving a unanimous vote at the governing body's General Assembly, held virtually earlier this month.

The 60-year-old, who was first elected as CPE President in 2004, said he hoped collaboration between Paralympic sports in Spain would continue and looked forward to next year's Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

"We are the Spanish Paralympians and in difficult times we will set an example of perseverance," Carballeda said.

Spanish Olympic Committee President Alejandro Blanco congratulated Carballeda on his re-election.

"During these uncertain times, if we are able to be together and work together, we will overcome this situation and help shape a better future for Spanish sport," Blanco said.
