The four victors from the opening day of the South American Football Confederation qualifiers for the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup all won again today at the Parque Olímpico in Rio de Janeiro.

In need of a win after having to settle for a point from a penalty shoot-out victory against Peru yesterday, Argentina beat Venezuela 5-4 in Group B to claim three points.

Paraguay, despite having already qualified automatically for the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup as the host nation, took a second win by defeating Peru 7-2.

It followed a 5-3 victory over Chile in their Group B opener.

Another tight game in Group A saw Uruguay also maintain their perfect record by overcoming Ecuador 4-3.

Group stage action in Rio de Janeiro is due to continue tomorrow.

The top two nations at the event, excluding already-qualified Paraguay, will advance to the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

This year’s edition of the sport's premier international championship is scheduled to run from November 21 to December 1.
