The best players in world squash are in San Francisco this week for the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Oracle NetSuite Open.

The tournament, which will run from tomorrow until October 2, is taking place on the city's waterfront, featuring a men's and a women's draw including world champions Mohamed Elshorbagy and Raneem El Welily of Egypt.

The men's world number one Elshorbagy headlines the men's event as he looks to defend his title at the World Tour Gold event.

Having beaten compatriot Karim Abdel Gawad in last year's final, the Egyptian will face either Wales' world number 38 Joel Makin or France's world number 29 Gregoire Marche in his first match.

In the women's draw El Welily will face the 2017 champion Sarah-Jane Perry from England and former champions Laura Massaro, another Englishwoman, and Amanda Sobhy from the US.

In her first match in the second round, El Welily will play either Canada's world number 35 Hollie Naughton or Egypt's world number 25 Yathreb Adel.
