Home fighter Pavel Doroshilov powered through to the super heavyweight final at the World University Boxing Championships in Russia with a 5-0 win over Latvia’s Servuts Evanders.

Doroshilov’s opponent at the Oirat-Arena in the Republic of Kalmykia city of Elista will be Gurgen Hovhannisyan of Armenia, who beat Dzimitry Makarevich of Belarus 5-0.

The men’s light heavyweight final will be between Tajikistan’s Shabb Negmatuloev, a 5-0 winner over Hleb Sinkevich of Belarus, and home boxer Magomedrasul Suleymanov, who beat Azerbaijan’s Dzhabrail Elekov 5-0.

Russia will also figure in the men’s lightweight final thanks to Gabil Mamedov’s 5-0 win over Kazakhstan’s Yerzhan Ordabayev.

Mamedov will now meet Dzimitry Asanav, a 5-0 winner over Kyrgyzstan’s Minarbek Siitbek at this International University Sports Federation event.

Kazakhstan’s Bekhbolat Kuramyssov reached the men's welterweight final with a 5-0 win over Filip Wachala of Poland.

His opponent will be Chinese Taipei’s Pan Hung-Ming, a 5-0 victor over Russia’s Akim Nabiullin.

The men’s flyweight final will be between Chinese Taipei’s Hong Chuan-Hsun, who beat Ireland’s Ricky Nesbit 5-0, and Kazakhstan’s Abay Kuandykov, who earned a 5-0 verdict over Japan’s Ryutaro Nakagaki.

Home boxer Omella Kheteeva earned a 4-1 win over Germany’s Ramona Graeff to reach the women’s lightweight final, where she will face France’s Amina Zidani, a 5-0 winner over Hungary’s Kornelia Nagy.
