World Rugby have announced that they are asking everyone connected with the sport for feedback on new laws currently being trialled.

The organisation have revealed they are asking players, coaches, match officials, fans and members of the media to send their feedback on the new laws to a specialist Law Review Group.

World Rugby claim the depth of feedback will create a "360-degree view of how the trials are impacting and being received at all levels of the game".

A total of 11 amendments to the laws are being trialled which aim to make the game simpler to play and referee whilst they are also designed to further promote player welfare.

World Rugby claim the laws were approved for trial following extensive analysis and feedback from players, coaches, match officials and union after they were used at closed tournaments in 2017.

After the feedback, the Law Review Group will provide the Rugby Committee of World Rugby with considerations from which they will make recommendations to the governing World Rugby Council.

The World Rugby Council will then consider which amendments should be adopted into law in May before the suspension of law amendments is made a year ahead of the Rugby World Cup in 2019.

World Rugby chairman Bill Beaumont claimed it is important to involve everybody connected with the sport in the law-making process.

"Rugby is a game for all and therefore it is important to us that everyone is able to have a say on the decisions that affects how the sport will be played at all levels," he said.

"This law trial evaluation is an important step in our ongoing commitment to ensuring rugby is as simple and enjoyable to play, coach, officiate and watch as possible and we look forward to receiving the feedback."
