Hong Kong claimed the two titles on offer at the Asian Team Squash Championships as they won the men's and women's events in Cheongju in South Korea.

Hong Kong's men sealed their first continental crown with a superb victory over 15-times champions Pakistan at the Cheongju International Squash Stadium.

It proved to be a comfortable triumph for the Hong Kong side as both of their players beat their Pakistani opponents in straightforward fashion.

Max Lee Ho-yin, his country's number one, laid the foundation by beating Farhan Zaman 11-9, 11-9, 11-7 in the opening rubber.

Their surprise triumph was then secured by Leo Au Chun-ming, who overcame Tayyab Aslam 11-6, 8-11, 11-0, 11-7.

"This is a massive achievement and it proved that our bronze medal at the World Championships last year was no fluke," Lee said, according to the South China Morning Post.

Hong Kong had earlier wrapped up the women's title with a 2-0 win over the host nation in the final.

Annie Au Wing-chi wasted little time in putting Hong Kong in front as she defeated Ahn Eun-tschan 11-4, 11-5, 11-5.

Compatriot Joey Chan Ho-ling fought back from from one game down to beat Lee Ji-hyun 8-11, 11-0, 11-2, 11-7, handing Hong Kong's women a fourth Asian Team Championships success.
