Thailand and Japan both qualified for the World Men's Floorball Championships after winning their play-off matches at the Asia-Oceania Qualifying Tournament in Jeju Island today.

The Thai outfit thrashed New Zealand 11-2 while Japan defeated hosts South Korea 6-2 at the Hanrim Sports Complex.

New Zealand took the lead in their encounter but Thailand then scored six times without reply en-route to their comfortable win.

Japan and South Korea both traded goals to start their game before a run of four Japanese strikes on the spin put them in command.

Both matches pitted together sides who had finished second and third in the group stage with the final two spots at the World Championships on the line.
