Mathilde Gros of France and Italy's Letizia Paternoster both claimed their third gold medals of the International Cycling Union Junior World Championships as the event in Montichiari concluded today.

Gros, who broke the world junior record in the time trial yesterday, continued her dominant performance at the competition in the Italian town by winning the keirin event.

The 18-year-old beat Steffie Van der Peet of The Netherlands, who was forced to settle for the silver medal at the Velodrome Fassa Bortolo.

Kim Hye-su of South Korea was the recipient of the bronze medal as she came through in third place.

Paternoster teamed up with Chiara Consonni to secure victory in the madison competition with a total of 70 points.

She had already clinched gold medals in the team pursuit and omnium events.

Her success with Consonni, who was also part of the victorious team pursuit squad, ensured the World Junior Championships finished in golden fashion for the host nation.

The silver medal in the madison went to Mariia Novolodskaya and Daria Malkova of Russia, who finished with 55 points, while bronze was taken by the French duo of Marie Le Net and Valentine Fortine on 39 points.

Pavel Perchuk of Russia earned a commanding win in the men's one kilometre time trial in 1:01.768.

Silver was claimed by Germany's Carl Hinze, while Jackson Ogle of New Zealand was quick enough for the bronze medal.

In the final event of the Championships, Denmark's Mathias Larsen and Julius Johansen won the men's madison on 43 points.

Lev Gonov and Gleb Syritsa of Russia were the recipients of the silver medal and Isaac Buckell and Godfrey Slattery of Australia sealed bronze.
