Britain's Tahnee Seagrave and the United States' Aaron Gwin claimed victory at the International Cycling Union (UCI) Mountain Bike World Cup in Quebec.

Downhill competition was the centre of attention on the first day of finals at Mont-Ste-Anne.

Seagrave claimed her second World Cup victory of the season in the women's event, as she finished in a time of 4min 46.723sec.

She was followed by France's Myriam Nicole and Australia's Tracey Hannah, who achieved times of 4:52.460 and 4:58.779 respectively.

"It feels so much better for me, feels more like a deserved one as Rachel Atherton wasn't competing in Leogang," said Seagrave.

"It doesn't feel real yet.

"I'm stoked."
