Mian Muhammad Aslam has been re-elected for another term as President of the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWLF).

He will now serve another four-year spell until 2021 following the elections at Pakistan Olympic House in Lahore.

Representatives from the Pakistan Olympic Association and the Pakistan Government were present alongside PWLF officials.

Other appointments saw Mian Amer Mahmood voted in as chairman, with Hafiz Imran Butt named as chief executive.

Amjid Amin Butt will serve as general secretary with Ch. Ali Aslam acting as treasurer.

Five vice presidents were also confirmed - Muhammad Javed Anwar, Abdul Aziz Khan, Sheraz Muhammad, Nafees Ahmed and Nuzhat Jabeen.

The Executive Members of the PWLF are Hafiz Salman Butt, Muhammad Rashed Malik, Mushtaq Ahmed, Javed Iqbal and Malik Mazharullah Khan.

In December 2015, the PWF announced that it would send an eight-member squad to the Rio 2016 Olympic qualifier in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

No weightlifters from the country ultimately qualified for the Games in Brazil.
