Peter Schröcksnade has been unanimously re-elected President of the Austrian Ski Association at the body's 82nd Annual General Assembly in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.

The 75-year-old, a former vice-president of the Austrian Olympic Committee, has been handed a three-year term which expires in 2020.

Toni Leikam, Roswitha Stadlober, Alfons Schranz, Michael Walchhofer and Kurt Steinkogler were all elected as vice-presidents.

Peter Mennel and Klaus Leistner were also handed roles in office, as financial adviser and secretary general respectively.

Following the election, Schröcksnade and other representatives delivered reports on the performance of the organisation.

Several successful Austrian athletes were also handed awards as part of the event.

Marcel Hirscher led the list of Alpine skiing winners with Manuel Feller, Max Franz, Michaela Kirchgasser, Roland Leitinger, Nicole Schmidhofer and Stephanie Venier also honoured.

Hirscher won a fourth International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Skiing Slalom World Cup title last season.

Ski jumper Stefan Kraft was also handed a prize after a sensational season.

The 24-year-old recorded 1,665 points over the 2016-2017 campaign to win his first World Cup title.

He also claimed large hill and normal hill gold at the World Championships in Lahti in Finland in February and March.

Manuel Fettner, Michael Hayböck, Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, Gregor Schlierenzauer and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger were the other ski jumpers to be rewarded.

Snowboarders Anna Gasser, Benjamin Karl, Andreas Prommegger, Daniela Ulbing also won prizes.

Former FIS marketing and communications director Christian Knauth received the Grand Gold Medal of the Austrian Ski Association.

Before joining the FIS in 1992, he served as vice-president of the Austrian Ski Association.
