Bolt, a gold medallist in the 100 and 200 metres plus 4x100m relay at both Beijing 2008 and London 2012, also last month launched his own Twitter emoji.

When users type in #BeTheFastest in their tweets, they will see the Bolt emoji, bearing the likeness of the superstar sprinter displaying his trademark "to the world" pose.

The branded hashtag is part of Virgin Media's newest campaign, which also features a 100-second ad, paying tribute to the company's biggest ambassdaor.

Twitter first introduced exclusive emojis last year.

Last September, a series of custom emojis were launched to commemorate Pope Francis' visit to the United States.
