The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus (NOC RB) has revealed the winners of a special drawing competition held for orphans and disabled children in the country.

According to the NOC RB, “The Olympic flame ignites the heart” competition attracted around 1,500 entrants.

It aimed to introduce the children and young people to the ideals and values of the Olympic movement in a creative way to maximise engagement.

The competition aligns with one of the principles of the Olympic Charter as it brought together sport, culture and education for young people.

Children aged 12 to 16 took part and submitted their entries to their regional office, before they were passed on to the NOC RB for judgement.

Winners were selected in two different categories - “Fire of Hope” for those children without parents and “Fire of Inspiration” for physically-challenged children.
