Paralympic ticket_design_11_JuneJune 12 - The stylish look of the tickets for the forthcoming Paralympic Games has been revealed by London 2012 - and, like their Olympic counterparts, feature high levels of security built in.

Similar in style to the Olympic tickets, they are available in one of four colour schemes (pictured top).

Each ticket, which features a sport pictogram, is produced in a specific colour that reflects each Games venue – such as the Copper Box (pictured below), where goalball will be contested – to help spectators easily reach the correct destination.

In line with the Olympic tickets, each will be printed with a hologram, a barcode and name of the booker along with several other high-level security features to help reduce counterfeiting and ensure it can be traced to its purchaser.

The designs were produced by FutureBrand, part of McCann Worldgroup.

Tickets for the Paralympics have been on sale since May 21 and London 2012 used their design launch to impress upon spectators the importance of buying them only from authorised sources.

The majority of tickets will be available from London 2012 and the website features a full list of accredited resellers.

This includes the International Paralympic Committee's official ticket reseller, the website featuring an authorised London 2012 URL checker to confirm whether or not any website claiming to sell Games tickets is genuine.

London 2012 chief executive Paul Deighton warned spectators to look after any tickets they buy and to beware of rogue sellers.

"It is important now that people keep their tickets in a safe place ready for Games time and to be wary of websites and organisations claiming to have Games tickets to sell," he said.

"In many cases, they simply do not have them to sell and there is a real danger people will end up being out of pocket and missing out on seeing the Games.

"If in doubt, check our website and be 100 per cent certain you are buying from an authorised source."
