The entire Veldrome, with its unique structural system, unique geometry of seating bowl, state-of-the-art electrical and mechanical services and marvelous architectural features, is constructed in a record time of 17 months by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).

It has been certified by the itnernational cycling federation, the UCI, as a category 1 cycling velodrome.

"Others like the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the swimming complex and weightlifting stadium are ready to be inaugurated.
