November 18 - Britain's Pops Mensah-Bonsu (pictured) has re-signed for Toronto Raptors after he was released by Houston Rockets last Friday.

The 26-year-old 6ft 10in Londoner played 19 games for the Raptors last season after signing as a free agent and averaged 5.1 points.

The resigning of Mensah-Bonsu will be popular with Raptors fans as during his brief spell there he became a crowd-favourite for his enthusiasm.

He had hoped to be offered a contract for this season but the Raptors filled their last roster place and he moved to Houston, where he appeared in four games, averaging 1.3 points and 3.3 minutes.

Mensah-Bonsu was on an annual salary of $825,497 (£731,126) at the Texas club but was released for financial reasons.

It is understood that Mensah-Bonsu received interest from other NBA teams after being released but always had his sights set on returning to Toronto.
