By Andrew Warshaw at the Main Press Centre on the Olympic Park in London

Olympic Park_general_view_August_7_August 7 - Fans will almost certainly be refused entry to the Olympic Park in the short gap between the Olympics and Paralympics, London 2012 revealed today.

Although there will be another large allocation of Park tickets especially for the Paralympics, construction work around the venues will mean little or no accessibility in the intervening period, said London 2012 spokeswoman Jackie Brock-Doyle.

"It's going to be tough for it to be kept open," she told a briefing here.

"I know there are a lot of people who would like that to happen but we have got contractors who need to dismantle and get on with moving temporary structures out of the Park.

"That makes it quite a difficult environment for people to come in from a health and safety standpoint."
