Margaux Isaksen_July_21July 21 - Modern pentathlete Margaux Isaksen, who competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has been selected by the United States for the London Games.


Isaksen (pictured) from Fayetville, Arkansas, who finished 21st in China and won the Pan-American title last year, will be accompanied in the women's event on August 12 by first-time Olympian Suzanne Stettinius from Parkton, Maryland.

Dennis Bowsher, from Dallas, Texas, has been selected to represent the US in the men's modern pentathlon on August 11.

Last month, Stettinius, who recovered from breaking her neck during a steeplechase race, made fundraising appeals via Facebook and her blog, and organised a party near her home which included a date with herself as one of the items for auction.
