Annie_Last_in_Team_GB_kitMay 16 - Twenty-year-old Annie Last (pictured), a silver medallist at last year's World under-23 Mountain Biking Championships, will face a new challenge at senior level when she takes part in this month's UCI World Mountain Bike World Cup at Dalby Forest, Yorkshire.

Last has been named in the British team for the event, which takes place from this weekend (May 21-22).

She will join the Commonwealth Games gold medallist and current national champion, Liam Killeen, and the current downhill world champion Tracy Moseley, who will ride as a guest rider for this event.

GB Mountain Bike Coach Phil Dixon said: "For this year's Dalby World Cup we've been able to select riders in each of the categories and everyone is looking forward to competing on the course in front of a home crowd.

"We made a solid start to the World Cup season and we're looking to build on that in the run-up to London 2012.

"I'm also pleased to have a World Champion in the squad – Tracy was keen to support the home World Cup whilst also gaining experience in an elite cross country race, which will serve as good preparation for the rest of her season."

Full squad: Elite Men: Liam Killeen. Elite Women: Annie Last, Tracy Moseley. Under-23 Men: David Fletcher, Kenta Gallagher. Steven James. Under-23 Women: Lily Mathews. Junior Men: Grant Ferguson, Matthew Sumpton, Ben Summer. Junior Women: Katy Winton, Bethany Crumpton.
