TSE_ConsultingJanuary 5 - Specialist sports advisory firm TSE Consulting has opened a new office in Rio de Janeiro ahead of Brazil's hosting of the 2016 Olympic and paralympics Games.

The firm's expansion into South America is geared towards helping the continent to benefit from the current investment and growing focus of international sport on the region.

TSE will work with cities and regions interested in developing long-term sports event strategies and hosting international sports events, as well as working with national sports organisations.

The office in Rio will be set up within Dream Factory, one of Brazil's leading event companies that works across sport, entertainment and activation.

Lars Haue-Pedersen, managing director of TSE Consulting, said: "Brazil is obviously a very interesting and developing market for us.

"Our sports performance team is already working with the Brazilian National Olympic Committee in their preparations for 2016 and we have high expectations for future opportunities in the region.

"We believe the well established Dream Factory is a perfect partner for TSE."

Duda Magalhães, chief executive officer at Dream Factory, said: "We are honoured to be working with TSE Consulting and to have them select us as their partner while establishing their new office in Rio.

"The sports market is full of potential and it will be important that both sports organisations and the public sector in Brazil make the most of the opportunities to come."
