PSA to launch Hall of Fame at June Awards Dinner. PSA

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has announced that the PSA Hall of Fame will be launched at the PSA Awards Dinner at The Book Rotunda in Birmingham on Saturday 8 June, following the British Open semi-finals.

Throughout 2024, the PSA will be celebrating 50 years since the International Squash Players Association - the forerunner of the PSA - was formed to govern the men's professional game, with a historic merger between the PSA and the Women's Squash Association (WSA) taking place in 2015.

As part of the celebrations, two legends of the game will be inducted into the PSA Hall of Fame, to be announced at the PSA Awards Dinner. "We are delighted to mark our 50th anniversary year with the launch of the PSA Hall of Fame," said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough

"So many amazing players have left their legacy on professional squash and we are pleased to have the opportunity to celebrate those who have made such an impact on the sport," he added.

The PSA Awards Dinner will also recognise the achievements and performances of the world's top squash players during the 2023-24 season, with a host of awards up for grabs.

Voting

It's a two-part process that combines the votes of squash fans on social media with the votes of the PSA Awards Committee - a group of selected influential former players, members of the media, tournament organisers and PSA Board representatives.

This determines the winners of the four major annual awards for those with the most cumulative points: Female Player of the Year, Male Player of the Year, Young Female Player of the Year and Male Player of the Year. The players with the most cumulative points are the winners.

Public voting is open for the PSA World Tour and PSA Young Players of the Year, as well as the PSA Challenger Tour Players of the Year, and will close at 23:59 (GMT+1) on 27 May. Voting for the Match of the Season, Shot of the Season and Moment of the Season opens at 10:00 on 28 May and closes at 23:59 on 2 June.
