Roland Köhler re-elected president of the German Ju-Jutsu Federation. JJIF

With a clear majority, the General Assembly of the German Ju-Jutsu Federation (DJJV) has re-elected Roland Köhler as President of the organisation for another four-year term.

Roland Köhler has been the President of the German Ju-Jutsu Federation since 2011. As national coach of the German team since 1992, he is the longest serving and perhaps most successful coach within the JJIF.

The DJJV is a founding member of the internationally recognised Ju-Jitsu movement in 1977 as the European Ju-Jitsu Union, which formed the basis for the creation of the International Ju-Jitsu Federation in 1987.

The German Ju-Jutsu Federation has around 40,000 members who practise Ju-Jutsu primarly as a martial art and for self-defence. The styles of Traditional Jiu-Jitsu, Hanbo-Jutsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are also practised by JJIF members.

Team Germany, which usually finishes in the top 3 of the tournament medal table, has been the number 1 national federation in the overall ranking for the last two years.

Michael Korn, Vice President of the Ju-Jitsu European Union, has also been confirmed in the position of Vice President YOUTH of the DJJV.
