In its quest to achieve the best possible result at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Team Mexico have held a training camp in France ahead of the all-important Games.

The Mexican team trained with the French and Brazilian teams. The visiting team also experienced the atmosphere of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games by taking a photo with the official mascot of the event, which will take place from 28 August to 8 September. 

In the debut of Para Taekwondo at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Mexico won a gold medal thanks to the efforts of Juan Diego Garcia Lopez (K44 Men -75kg).

With stars such as Jessica Garcia Quijano, the reigning world champion, and Claudia Romero, the best women's Para athlete of the year in 2023, among others, Mexico are expected to improve their medal tally in Paris. 

Mexico has 5 Olympic quotas for the Paris 2024 Paralympics. In addition to Juan Garcia (men's -70 kg), Jessica Quijano (women's -52 kg) and Romero (women's -47 kg), Fernanda Vargas (women's +65 kg) and Luis Mario Nájera (men's -80 kg), had qualified through the rankings.
