Pre-Olympic focus for Spanish Para-Taekwondo © Royal Federacion Espanola de Taekwondo.

The National Parataekwondo Team, which will represent Spain at the Continental Pre-Olympic Championships in Sofia (Bulgaria) on the 8th of March, will be training at the CTD R. Murcia from the 12th to the 21st of February.

Three male athletes will be competing for a ticket to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

- Joel Martín (-44-58kg), Catalonia.

- AlejandroVidal (k44-63kg), Galicia.

- Gabriel Amado (-44-70kg), Murcia.

Rachid el Hayani (-44-58kg) will accompany the team to Murcia. Dalia Santiago (-44-65kg), who has already qualified for the Games via the rankings, will join the team over the weekend. Training sessions will be led by coaches Blanca San Cirilo and Diego Hernández.  Spain had only one Para athlete at the Tokyo 2020 Para Taekwondo tournament. Alejandro Vidal had qualified through the rankings, but lost in the first round to eventual silver medallist Mohamed El-Zayat from Egypt, and was then beaten by Ganbat in the repechage.
