The PATU President's Cup will be held in Costa Rica from 14 to 17 March. At this important event for the G-2 category, the Continental Union will award quotas for the Pan American Cadet, Junior and Senior Championships, as well as points for the ranking.

With the intention of creating more opportunities for all countries in the region, the next President's Cup, to be held in Costa Rica from 14 to 17 March will award wildcards to the Pan American Championships to the first place finishers in the senior divisions in all modalities (Kyorugi, Poomsae, Taekwondo Team). These will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in May.

In addition, the cadet and junior divisions will compete in the Pan American Championships to be held in July (venue to be determined). The next President's Cup in Costa Rica will offer spots for the first and second place in each modality.

"Opening up places in this way in such an important event as the President's Cup, is an initiative that aims to reward the effort of every minute of training during the exhausting days that the athletes put in to represent their country and of course, to reach the highest competitions in their modality. We are looking forward to the President's Cup and later to the Pan American, Cadet, Junior and Senior Championships, which will undoubtedly raise the level of our participants," said Juan Manuel Lopez, President of PATU.
